Tandoori Style Chicken

Ingredients

  • 900g skinless chicken
  • 3 tsp tomato puree
  • 50g garlic
  • 50g ginger
  • 4-6 green chillies
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 100ml plain yogurt
  • 2 tsp tandoori masala
  • 1 tsp salt

Method

  1. For the marinade, add spice mix, yogurt, tomato puree, spices, garlic, ginger and green chillies
  2. Liquidize in a blender.
  3. Pour sauce mixture over the skinless chicken pieces
  4. Mix and leave to marinade for 4-6 hours, or overnight in the fridge.
  5. Pre-heat oven on gas mark 5 / 190c / 375f
  6. Place a wire rack on a baking sheet, and place all the chicken pieces on it.
  7. Place in the center of an oven for 60-80 minutes
  8. Turn the chicken pieces every 20 minutes and discard the excess liquid.
