Okonomiyaki
Ingredients
These are for one person; multiply for more:
- 100g Cabbage
- 1 Egg
- 50g self-raising flour
- 50g Water
- Pinch dashi powder
- 1tbsp soy sauce (optional)
Method
- Finely chop the cabbage
- Mix cabbage and flour
- Mix dashi, water and eggs and mix with cabbage
- Prepare thick pancakes (~2cm thick)
- Top with cheese, bacon, mochi
- Cook on medium heat in a frying pan with a little oil until golden brown
- Turn over and cook until cheese and/or bacon are crispy
Add dried seaweed, chopped spring onion and/or flaked or powdered bonito flakes, and a drizzle of mayonnaise, okonomiyaki sauce to taste.
